Angelus

(Said as a reminder of the Mystery of the Incarnation three times each day throughout the year except Eastertide)

V. The Angel of the Lord brought tidings unto Mary.

R. And she conceived by the Holy Ghost.

ALL: Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. {Our lady and infant Christ}

(the bell rings 3 times)

V. Behold the hand-maid of the Lord.

R. Be it unto me according to thy word.

ALL: Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

(the bell rings 3 times)

V. And the Word was made Flesh.

R. And dwelt among us.

V. Pray for us O Holy Mother of God

R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ

V. We beseeach Thee, O Lord,

pour forth Thy grace into our hearts that as we have known the incarnation of Thy Son Jesus Christ

by the message of an angel, so by His cross and passion we may be brought to the glory of His resurrection,

through the same Christ our Lord. Amen
